The Eco Warriors program is a sustainability themed, student-led volunteering project which has been developed by the Alejo M. Pacalso Memorial National High School(AMPMNHS), grade 12. It aims to support their local environment and sustainability whilst simultaneously developing the experience, knowledge and skills of Alejo M. Pacalso Memorial National High School(AMPMNHS), students. In addition, it is hoped the project will enhance the positive reputation of University of Cumbria students, and the value of the volunteering projects they undertake within the local community

Eco warrior schools is unique in its adaptability. Working closely with the school and class teachers, Eco Warrior schools works to find curriculum relevant topics that can be enhanced with practical workshops and activities.

 

Details

The Eco Warriors project would require volunteers to attend a short initial training session and subsequent meetings, to discuss and plan primary school workshops. A volunteer’s role will involve working alongside other Eco Warrior volunteers to deliver workshops focusing on the environment and sustainability
